Angel’s ADGA Genetics Pedigree

We are quite excited about this line-breeding on Bewitched!  This set of triplets have great wedgy-shapes with dairy ribbing, flat bones, and sharpness throughout, as well as smoothness of blending and levelness across the chine and loin with flat rumps from thurl to thurl.   And the best is yet to come, this was designed to be an “udder breeding,” with Buffy’s consistently stylish, beautifully attached mammaries and Bewitched’s production, we anticipate a beautiful, capacious mammary on this doe kid someday.  Best of luck to Christina with brother Aslan here in Washington and Cheryl with sister Dragonfly all the way down in Florida.  Like many in the NW, we got hit with ringworm in summer 2014 and it particularly hit our dry stock hard. Sadly our beautiful Angel didn’t make it out to any shows, but we look forward to her debut as a milker!

Unfortunately, Angel had a false pregnancy in winter 2014. Kidding season 2015 was rough both on Angel and Firefly, who had a tiny single doe kid early and didn’t come into full milk. We believe that Angel is fertile and can carry kids, and we are still looking forward to her debut as a first freshening 3 year old milker in 2016. Hopefully we will have both Angel and Firefly back on the show string as a dynamic dam and daughter in 2016.

Our patience has paid off! Angel did indeed freshen in 2016 and boy are we glad that we waited. At her first show out she picked up a champion leg and just as we had hoped placed 2nd in a big dam & daughter class for the District VII LaMancha Speciality! At appraisals, she was made a final score of 90, but our honest nature got the best of us and we had to remind the appraiser that she was only a first freshener, so she got bumped down to an 89.
