Behind the Name

  • Born with a perfect white lightening strike down her forehead during the height of the Harry Potter book series and the daughter of teenage witch Sabrina, this doe just seemed to us to have been born spellbound.

Spellbound’s ADGA Genetics Pedigree

As a first generation LaMancha, “Spell” is a primary foundation doe of the herd, and it is her long, tall, strong, and dairy style that we continue to strive for in her numerous descendants.  Also like many of our does, Spell was no young flash in the pan as she took her own time to fully mature and blossom, finishing her championship with a Best In Show win at the age of six.

Spellbound is continued to be seen in many of our does today, moreover her tall, dairy strength style remains our breeding goal for animal structure. Spell lived almost her entire life with us, leaving for a blackberry-filled retirement home to live out her last few years.
