When a combination of not retaining kids and some tragic losses hit our magic line, we began to look off our property for opportunities to bring some of our most magical genes back home. Shauna, lovingly known as “Tomato” around the northwest is a classic Blade daughter, combined with a double-magic sire, Ardis jumped at the opportunity to bring Ayumu home. Or rather it should be said, Sonia who knew our magic does were low on supply, called and said, “you need to buy this buck from me.” She was right! Not only does he bring the magic back, but he himself is a colorful addition to our buck pen and has produced a lot of very fun colorful kids. The cherry top was when has DNA came back with an alpha-s1 casein result of A/A. We used him quite heavily in 2023 and are very excited for a spring crop of colorful, correct kids.
