On the way to Mariah’s wedding, Sonia and Heather dropped off two very pregnant wedding presents to the mother-of-the-bride Ardis: Barnowl Charmed and her Quantum Leap-sired daughter Lone Thistle Practical Magic. Needing to cut down their LaManchas and knowing that Charmed was nearing the end of her life, these two does returned to their roots. Charmed, a beloved Bewitched daughter who left the farm as a 2 year old, gave birth to her last two doe kids in the same barn she was born, and then passed peacefully in the night a day later. We kept one, the other went back to Sonia–when one life ends, another begins. 

In a year of white Qamar kids, Charmed One really stands out in the crowd with her jet black coat. A strong boned kid with great depth of body and extension of brisket, we’re excited to have a doe kid with genetics both very new and very old to us. She is bred to Cizeron to be a yearling milker in 2021.
