This is more than likely Avalon’s last doe kid and we couldn’t be more excited about her. In her first show as a dry yearling, she was commended for having the best feet and legs in a ring of 40+ junior does and easily selected for junior champion. She’s a quiet doe with big “doe-y” eyes who truly excels in general appearance and flatness of bone throughout. Avahalla freshened in 2020 with a beautiful set of triplets from Kaptain–the two does flew off the farm to two local breeders who love the Avalon line. Our most productive first freshener, Avahalla’s high test was 9.3 pounds with an average right around 8 pounds. Couple her promising production with her flat open bone pattern, beautiful lean neck, and incredible length of body, this is one true dairy goat. Despite all of these marks in her favor, Avahalla’s roundness of rear udder and extension of fore leave a little more to desire–and we’re serious with it being very little, really its a lovely, productive mammary. On the sale list for almost two years, a few expressed interest, but no home fit this final daughter of Avalon well enough to part with her; now with increased milk sale options, we have new reasons to appreciate this consistent milker.
