Hockus has not been particularly generous with doe kids, so when we heard that Sonia and Heather were going to part with one of Abby’s 2012 triplet girls we jumped at the chance to bring in Anapneo.  “Neo” (nay-oh) is one of the sweetest does, she also has great width in the eschuteon, sharpness and dairy character throughout, and a certain enduring elegance that starts with her beautiful face. As expected, Neo freshened in 2014 and put a beautiful mammary in that wide eschuteon and remains one of the easiest personalities to work with in our herd.

A large doe, Neo has a well attached, capacious mammary. As a first freshener, she completed a one-day milk test late in the year and just barely missed receiving her star miker designation. Also as a first freshener, Neo’s structural correctness was recognized during Linear Appraisal with a final score of 88 VEVE. She was awarded the Superior Genetics designated in 2015 for her high blend of production and structural correctness. More a dairy goat than a show goat, we made the hard decision to let Anapneo move on to a farm where her talents could be better rewarded. She now resides at Left Foot Farm and Dairy outside of Seattle.
