Avalon is another of our brood doe Aphrodite’s daughters and like Desi and Fish she is a doe that adeptly blends strength of bone, dairy character, and just all around incredible general appearance.   We particularly love her back structure, long and level like her sisters, but more refined than Fish and just a bit more solid that Desi.  The breeding to Honor should take her long, level, angular general appearance up that extra notch to increase strength and overall size to be more in line with the general appearance we see in Fish.

Acadia freshened with a very nice, globular mammary and is already starting to show great balance of body, dairy strength, and capacity as a yearling milker. We really like Acadia. Her only problem? She was kept in a year when we kept 10 kids instead of our normal 6. With a potential 10 does freshening next year as two-year olds many of whom have extreme sentimental and genetic value being the last doe kids of dead or retired animals, we have to consider the fact that we can get another doe out of Avalon.   Acadia will only be available to performance that do some variety of show, LA, and DHIA.  This goat is going to make records and she deserves to go to a home where she can do just that.
